Happy new Financial year!!

We at 1SDO Training wish you a very prosperous and healthy new 2017/18 financial year.

In case you have not looked at our Facebook page, we have added 2 new courses to our scope. We have added the UETTDRRF06B Perform a rescue from a live LV panel unit of competency and the BSB41415 Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety Qualification.

Watch our course dates for sessions for the new courses being provided.

We will be looking at introducing more courses early next year, so watch out for those.

Even though we have just finished a financial year, please do not forget to update your current certificates. WorkSafe does not care if the financial year is over, they are only concerned for our safety and as such, will continue to be vigilant in making sure that ALL staff members are current and compliant with their tickets in the event of a workplace incident. Remember, CPR and LVR are only current for 12 months!!

To all the mothers who will read our posts, Happy Mothers Day and thank you for your contribution to our families.

You are the centre of the family, the chief cook, the psychologist, the bank, the taxi, the referee and the first aider.

“But I don’t know anything about First Aid!” I hear you say, let alone all the other duties that you ably perform.

Kids don’t come with a user’s manual.

Well, let's start with one manual. A manual that will give you skills and practice in all aspects of your life, not just the kids. It's called First Aid, and the good news is that we run these courses regularly. An opportunity to bring yourself up to speed on how to keep your little darlings safe and alive.

We were told of a story recently where at a wedding, the bride and groom were in the middle of exchanging their vows, when unbeknown to them, the groom’s father suffered a medical emergency. Fortunately, 1 of the guests was a medical doctor and he rendered assistance.

What would you have done? And what was wrong with the casualty?

If "… ummm” or “ OMG” or “I don’t know” are any of your responses, then you need to do a First Aid course.

Book now on www.1sdotraining.com.au or call us on 03 9017 5590.

To all the members of our Defence Force, 1SDO Training Pty Ltd would like to thank you sincerely on this day of rememberence (ANZAC DAY) for your service to our country in protecting our way of life.

Your efforts today and your sacrifices, no matter what they were in the past, are greatly appreciated by us.

Also to the families of our servicemen and women, we say thank you. Your sacrifice is immense. You have to keep the family together when your loved ones are away defending us, and then you have to pick up the pieces when they get home.
